Wonder how much water is in the transmission? Possibly enough that the oil level is way high?
You might want to try cleaning out the gear cases, get the oil level where it belongs, drive it a while, see if the seals leak will dry up.
That will also give you a chance to find any other problems. Then when you do go in for repairs, you can do everything that is needed in one tear down.
