A little OT but same theme. I'm NE of Dallas about half way to Okieland. About 9AM the wind was rousted from a dead calm and has been oscillating a few mph since, with the oscillations now peaking at 8 mph. They started at S by E and now are ESE. That storm is just now around the Cuba area. Must be 1500 miles to the eye. This is going to be bad. Hope the Floridians have the sense to leave which will save the 8000 FEMA workers sent down there hopefully some life threatening tasks doing rescue work.
