A problem with that ignition switch (google the pix) is were the plastic guts of the switch are crimped to the metal body the crimps get lose allowing the guts to move out from the contacts in the switch. EZ check just wiggle the connector at the switch you will even see the issue it may shut down the electrical system. You can use a punch and stake the crimps tight are replace the switch not a bad job at all to do... I have re-staked them and never removed the switch :D
