"The four new tires used up most of that $2000." Nope. Carlisle Tire will give away a set of front and rear tractor tires to most FFA students who apply for them. There is a lot of paper work to it though. The student MUST be an FFA or 4H member. The application must be entered by the high school FFA instructor or 4H instructor. There is a somewhat long application that must be filled out by the student that states what the student will be doing with this tractor after the tires are installed. Notice the "funny" tread on this tractor, that looks like the tread made 70 years ago? Carlisle makes these for parade or road tractors so the ride is smoother and they wear better. They are not really made for field work. How do I know this? My kid got a set about two years ago, delivered to the high school FFA department by UPS about three days after the application was placed by the high school ag instructor. Kudos to Carlisle Tires. As for the exact year of the tractor, either I wrote it down wrong, or the kid wrong it down incorrectly on his write-up sheet. I'm not an IH expert...at all.
