My 970 has an oil cooler. It reads hot but have never really noticed any changes in the tractor when it does. The 3 pt hitch functions properly and doesn't seem to sound laboured in any position. I should mention that the first season I used it I had a problem with the fluid foaming. At the end of the season I changed the seals on the pump and no more foam.
