I've had a Kubota L3400 for 7 years. I've got about 500 hours on it, haven't had any issues. I am very happy with my machine. I have the HST, and it is great for loader work. Dragging a ring won't be any work for the hst. I use mine for plowing snow, rototilling with a 72 inch tiller. The hat gives you an infinite variety of speeds. And when using the loader, it reLly saves your leg! As far as tier 4 or 3, I don't really know. I'd say that Kubota is very well engineered, I think that they would not release a inferior product.
