I have a John Deere H and I am having some starting issues. I tried starting it last night and it popped right away and then died. When I went to hand crank it again, it did not sound right, very quiet when cranking the starting wheel. Usually before it hits the compression you were able to hear a clicking noise, now there is nothing. It still tightens up on compression but does not start. It almost feels like something broke free. What was/is the clicking noise when you turn the starting wheel and what could my problem be? I took off the magneto and the impulse spring was not broke. Any ideas? Sorry, but this is my first tractor with a magneto. Thanks for any help.
