One of the biggest problems with ABC extinguishers is hanging them on the wall or setting them on the floor. Now let that sink in a second. The powder settles and compresses in the bottom over time. You grab it and pull the trigger....nothing. Once or twice a year take your extinguisher and turn it upside down and thump it and shake it till you can feel the powder moving around really well. This is why commercial extinguishers are replaced every two or three years. Nothing like needing one and it doesn't work. Wish you could still get the Haylon type.
