Ron, Try posting on the Oliver forum. My 77 had bad pump seals and oil went into the rear end. You could fill reservoir up and my pump would work. Centerplate who posts on YT mag forum had the seals I needed as well as any parts you might need. Here are a few pics of when I removed the pump. You must remove the PTO shaft from the rear to lift pump assembly off. My unit has manual control but was electric when new Centerplate also makes replacement handles to convert hydroelectric units. My 1951 Rowcrop 77 has only electric controls and they work. I hope this helps and it worked best for meto lift unit off from the left side of the tractor also if you remove the gear shift lever make sure you don't lose the springs into the trans. carefully lift gearshift lever straight off and you will see them.
