I've been predicting the return of gasoline engines for sub 100 HP tractors for sometime now, mostly due to nonsensical federal regulations.
If the Japanese and/or Koreans do not produce such, the Chinese and, maybe, Indians will unless the nonsensical regulations are rolled back, which could happen.
I would expect sleeveless cast iron (Why would one use sleeved aluminum engines in farm tractors?), smaller displacement, higher CR and RPM, regular fuel. Specific output will be very high. No chance of premium fuel requirement. Cost will be considerably less than Tier IV diesel if produced in similar volumes and, of course, none of the DEF nonsense.
