The tractor is not locked up. You can start it in gear and it will not bog down or anything. It seems to be going into gear. Yes the pto does turn. You can start it in or out of gear and release the clutch and it just sits there. It runs just fine. The hydraulics work okay too. Happy to answer any questions to try to get this thing figured out.
: : Posted message on Oct 11 about the tractor not moving. Some suggested the gears needed lined back and to remove gear stick and line them up. Have tried this with no luck. Someone has also suggested some kind of linkage problem but they were not specific about what or where to look. Can anyone help any further??

: Randy, is the tractor locked up, or just won't move. When the engine is running is it that just nothing happens or does it bog down as if something is locked? Is the tractor in gear as best you can tell? Will the PTO shaft turn? Does the hydraulic pump work? Answers to some of these questions would help me help you decide whether it's one of the clutches that's the problem, whether the transmission is locked up, or whether something is broken. Have a good day. John

His dad was a hard-working farmer and the children worked hard everyday to help ends meet. In the rural area he grew up in, the highlight of the week was Saturday when many people took a break from their work to go to town. It was on one such Saturday in the early 1940's when Sam was 16 years old that he ended up in Dennison, Kansas to watch a demonstration of a new tractor being put on by a local dealer. It was an Allis-Chalmers tractor dealership, ... [Read Article]
