I hooked up a volt meter mine did zackly as yours this morning at 6 degrees. I added a glow plug light on mine just for the ell of it as soon as the light went off about 30 sec the voltage JUMPED up like flipping a switch to normal charging voltage. I have current ramped the injectors mine pull 160 amps cold and tapper off to about 60/80 amps inside the 30 sec time frame. I am new to diesels I have been checking glow plug amp draw cold/hot and recording all the data I can with a scanner for reference.
In my opinion yours is normal I looked up the alt on yours about a week ago I think it was a 110 amp alt. Its hard to say with the weather we have had and not being able to do a load test on your bats New does not make them GOOD... You say starting... Starting and crank"N are two different animals so refine DAT...
