I was shopping for a new truck a few years ago between a Chevy and a ford was going to haul a camper. I figured what options I wanted and wound up at the Chevy dealer with my list, and asking about a 2500 with the options I wanted. He knew I was going to haul a camper. and said why don't you buy a 3500, most of these options on your list are standard on the 3500. I bought the 3500.
