Reading between the lines, most here I would say believe you paid too much. That is not necessarily true. If you are a collector or want a tractor for restoration, you might have paid less for a tractor with fewer cosmetic issues maybe. Or looked for a cheaper one so you could afford all the parts and pretties necessary to restore. But I buy a lot of equipment and I work it. If you have a medium size acreage and are farming it and you need a tractor to run a baler or pull a sprayer and do odd lighter weight jobs like those, then the factors you listed make that a pretty good deal. Decent hp, starts right up, no major leaks, easy to work on and cheap to run...that is the sort of tractor that gives a good return on your dollar. Fun to use too. I have an SMTA I paid $4K for back around 2000. Never done anything major to it and still work it on the mower, baler and rake every year. I have a 300U I paid around $2500 for several years ago and was an older "restoration". Bit of a PITA to start in the cold but it does a lot of odd jobs in summer and pulls my boom sprayer every Spring. Both were on the high side price wise but I would not give them up. Especially the SMTA. No looking back, you got a nice tractor. Enjoy it!
