When I was young I actually got some stuff from REA Express. Man is that ever a long time ago. Late 1969 or there abouts. Can remember the hatchery boxes showing up at the post office. They would call up because they were worried about the little babies. We would run down and pick up these peeping boxes. The ones they sell at tractor supply and such are for the part timers. The hatchery only would send FULL boxes. They didn't want to hear any jazz about a half or a whole dozen stuff. Did you see this show with Mike Rowe? If you are a really good boy girl looker upper you can make $60,ooo a year! Over a hundred and ten different breeds of chickens? Boys have straight pin feathers and girls are staggered.
