OK, in the first place it was common for there to be military parades right up to the beginning of Viet Nam. So nothing original.2nd place most service members hate parades because they are the ones who have to put them on, often on a Saturday MORNING. The only folks I knew in the army who liked parades were senior officers because the they got to see em from the reviewing stand and got to make long boring speech's.
So no, it's more like the US Army of yesteryear.
Now for those who think that the US military won WWII? GO back and do some fact checking. Germany DID NOT take most of Russia. They couldn't even take Moscow. They would have had to have made it well past Moscow to come close to 1/2. WWII was won on the factory floor, not the battle field! Yes we helped Russia and sent them a great deal of materials. But the Russians did most of the fighting too.
