Ford made their engines and transmissions so that within a pretty broad range various engines would bolt right up to the same transmission. Call Forester's in Chambersburg PA. and ask the guy on the parts counter. Those guys do a lot of pulling and so they are always making engine substitutions. He will be able to tell you right off the top of his head.
