Hopefully there are some 1830 owners out there who might able to answer an obscure question.
The PCV hose from the rocker cover to the carb is supposed to have an orifice in it. The hose from manifold to carb also has an orifice, but it is a different part # and design. Without the orifices in place the machine won't idle properly.
Neither of these are available from Case or any salvage yards I have checked with. Neither service nor parfts manuals have a description or spec. All it says is they are tapered and installed by pushing them in to the end of the hose.
I could jury rig something if anyone could tell me roughly what the opening was on these.
Or even better, if someone with a running 1830 who actually has them in place could take a photo.
On another note, the salvage people told me to put a fire extinguisher in my 1830. The last three they bought were total burn outs.
