When I first started working for the mining company I retired from, they had a liebhrr track-hoe with a 2 &1/2 yd bucket. It was powered by a V-8 Deutz diesel that was air cooled. It was a digging fool when you could get it to run. It got caught in a flood one weekend when a creek dam broke. We finally had to take the Deutz out because of issues from flooding and parts availability for the V-8 which seemed to be a rare engine. We replaced it with a 6-71 Detroit, but it still had electrical and hydraulic problems from being submerged. It finally got traded in on a PC300-LC-3 Komatsu track-hoe. The last I heard of the Liebhrr it was loading scrap iron in Atlanta. This machine might have been OK except the dealer was very poor at supporting it.
