What part of Kansas is the farm in?What crops are grown and what are the yields?Cash rent in Kansas can vary from $50 to $200 per acre..What % share rent does she get? What does farm ground sell for in her area?
In my area of Missouri crop share rent went away over 40 years ago....There was just too much cheating and poor farming that went on....Right now its almost 100% cash rent....The rates range from $75 to $125 per acre for ground that sells for $2,500-4,000 per acre..This is for ground that raises 50-70 bushel wheat,120-150 bushel corn, and 30-40 bushel soybeans on a 10 year average....Taxes are about $5 per acre..In other parts of Missouri where the soil is better and it rains more rent can be $150-200 per acre...
