thanks, this helps. I didn't know if just putting a LED bulb in the housing would work worth a darn. I looked for your post but didn't see it. But it helps to know that this might work.
Regarding Tin Man's comments below, I know that the housing and reflector are engineered for the bulb (or vice versa) and wasn't sure if a replaceable bulb would be worth the effort. I recognize that the light pattern might not be focused like it was, but I might risk the cost of a bulb to see what kind of results I get.
