I've had a 2-71 in my Super M for over 10 years and haven't had a problem with my flywheel. I made the crank to flywheel spacer myself, put springs in that are 10-20% stronger than stock and had the flywheel/pressure plate assembly balanced. It pulled 86hp on the dyno at around 2,200-2,300 RPM. I usually keep it around 1,800RPM in the field. Can't say I'd use a stock flywheel for higher RPM though but it's absolutely fine in this application. Do you have a 2-71 in a Farmall and are speaking from experience?
