Chrysler did that a couple years ago already when it dropped the Dart and Chrysler 200. They only have the 300 and the Charger in the fleet for "cars". Our Jeep Cherokee is very roomy and gets 30+mpg and i can tow with it. Only complaint is the rear hatch/storage area is a bit small if you have 5 people with luggage so not much reason to have a car. We also have a Chrysler 300S which is a nice car to ride in
Small cars have been a money looser for about the last 10-15 years. Main reason to keep them was to improve the overall fleet fuel mileage values. Not sure how Ford will accomplish that.
If it wasn't for rental cars GM probably wouldn't sell very many Cruzes and 1/2 the malibus they sell now. not sure why they have the cruze as the malibu gets almost the same mileage and is a bit bigger..... not sure why they have the malibu as the impala gets the same mileage and is bigger.... i wouldn't buy any GM's anyway.
