I have the exact opposite view about the electronic stuff. When you compare the complexity of a Case DC for example to a modern tractor made within the last 5 years, it's orders of magnitude difference. There's more technology in a lug nut on a new tractor than there is in that whole Case DC.
The fact that it works AT ALL is a miracle. The fact that the vast majority of them work problem-free for years makes you wonder if it isn't stolen alien technology from that crash landing in 1947.
