I had what I would call a fairly knowledgeable farmer tell me that they have bolted 2 - 3/4 to 1 horse power 12 inch grain bin aeration fans back to front in tandem and they were blowing as much air as like a 3 horse power or so 15 inch fan. Not quite for sure exactly what size he said it increased the cfm's to, but noted it increased it a fair amount. I need to take some 16 percent corn to 14.5 here in May. A one horse power 12 inch fan will do it but it takes a good amount of time to push the drying zone through. Has anyone ever or heard of putting two fans together??? Does it make sense??? I guess there are fans with blades on both sides of the motor. Thanks.
