I have brushed some rought fields the first time and baled them in small squares. I just raked and baled like normal. I might have lost some hays but I didn'notice it that bad. The cows ate it just fine. It cleared it out for the cycle mower the next time which was the major reason for brushoging. I even raked and bale about 5 bales of my neighbors overgrown yard clipping to clear it off his lawn and threw it over the fence to the cows with not problem and it cleaned up his lawn.
