Hi, when we were on the coast farming, the hay fields were maybe 5 to 10 acres. Crops were heavy. we mowed with MF35 and 38? 6ft sickle mower. I would cut first going clockwise following the fence all the way around. Then go counter clockwise mowing the outside. The grass pushed down would be easy for the sickle to go underneath and I don't remember it being a problem plugging. Then just mow around clockwise until if it was narrow one way, then quit mowing narrow ends and just do sides. Ed Will Oliver BC
