I looked at a 2000 4X4 F350 with V10 auto with flat bed and just under 100,000 miles on it before buying the 95 F450. Not knowing anything about the V10 I went to the local Ford dealer and talked to the service manager and head mechanic and was told to stay away from the V10.I was told that the V10 noted for popping spark plugs out of aluminum heads and exhaust manifold bolts are small and rust out. You might want to check with your Ford dealer and see what he says.
