You can heat it in oil and keeping the oil around 200 degrees will be ok , will it just fall on , NO but it will get you started and depending on how fast you work is how far it will go . and the use of a installation tool and a impact makes it go faster .I use the heating in oil a lot . I carry and old deep fryer in my truck and i can set the temp. on the oil , i let the oil come up to temp that i want drop the part in that i want to heat and the oil temp drops the lite comes on and when the lite goes off the part is up to temp and remove and install . You do not need to BAKE a part to get it to expand enough to get it installed .
