Oat harvesting on the CARROT PATCH FARM: Cutting and binding the oats with a John Deere grain binder (1930's technology), pulled by a Farmall C (1949 technology), with a little old driver so lively and quick, I knew in a moment it must be..... Ray (1946 technology). Bundles of oats will be stacked vertically to dry (shocked). When dry will be piled on wagons and taken to the BLANCHARD STEAM SHOW, Oats will be run through a threshing machine (1930's technology), powered by a real steam engine (1910's technology). Straw will be recovered and baled with a John Deere baler, (1960's technology).
