That is exactly the attitude that's killing you guys. The consumer is the one spending the money. They get to choose what they spend in on. You won't buy something new that isn't what you want now will you? Well no one else has to either.
Attacking the person you are trying to get to buy your product is not a good marketing strategy! Calling them stupid and out of touch even though they may in fact be stupid and out of touch only makes them mad and believe me, they know what you think.
Another thought for you. You GMO guys that is. These companies that don't have a great track record with being real safe or producing safe products. We they come up with something, anything really but in this case GMO crops and roundup. Most of the studies claiming they are safe they funded. And you are perfectly willing to take their word for it? Now why is that? I know it ain't cause of your great concern about humanity and feeding the world. Cause you ain't feeding the world. It's plain and simple. It's about profit! Now I don't see profit as an evil thing as such. Nor do I claim that GMO's are bad. But you guys need to consider what the general public sees. That's the general public that has the checkbook.
Attacking TF and others like him is accomplishing nothing. You don't have very many city slickers reading this. If any it will be the ones against GMO's and Roundup hoping to catch just one of you GMO guys saying "well gee, maybe they ain't safe" or words to that effect. They are just waiting for that ammo.
You don't care what the average Joe worker has to go through to make and or distribute what you buy, so why should anyone care about what you go through to produce what they buy. This us against them attitude is counter productive.
