I don't want to get close to poison ivy. It will jump on me.
Passion flower will climb over anything. A blue native wildflower will also climb over other flowers. So I decided to plant both next to poison ivy and see what happens. Looks like the two flowers survived the transplant. May take a year or two for the flowers to establish. My money is on the passion flower. I've seen it blimp up the side of a building, 15 ft or more. I think even if the ivy survives, the passion flower will look nice climbing up the trees.
Has anyone tried using other plants to compete with poison ivy?
