: : : : I own a 52 case sc (approx 30+horse power) and just bought : : a 96" blade to scrape my 350' dirt drive way. It is : : reversable and can angle. My question is how much angle : : and should I use it to push or pull the snow? I live in : : Maine, we get lots of the white stuff often wet. : : Also any hints on teknique will be helpful : I used an 8N and 6 foot rear blade to push snow here in NE PA for about 12 years. Angle depended on depth and moisture of snow..deeper,wetter, more angle. I also try to keep the TOP of the blade leaned into the snow to get the snow to roll and slide off the plow better. Try to plow before snow gets deeper than plow height. Push or pull never mattered much to me, depends on what I was trying to clean up...driveway (long and narrow) or parking area near garage or barn. Sometimes back up and pull from closed doors and pull right on down drive. Sometimes push if snow is deep and need to take several bites to get it down. A rear worklite makes job easier too. Fasten pin which keeps plow angle positioned as it might bounce out and get lost. Hope this helps some. Hi Vince, I see by your message, that your in NE PA. Where abouts? I'm in Rileyville, just north of Honesdale. Stan
