Ditchwitch, the tumbling action of a front loader causes the fabric to constantly flex and rub against other fabric surfaces for an aggressive action. This is part of why there is no such thing as a top loader industrial washer. Another reason is water usage. Most municipal water supply could not handle supplying front loading industrial washers if there was such a thing. They are ALL front loaders. We are on our third front loader in thirty years. The first two each lasted 12-14 years.
