From what you are saying, you probably have it stuck between 2 gears. Does it sound like it's gonna die when you let the clutch pedal up, like it's in a hard pull? If it does then that's probably what's wrong. I don't have any experience with that Long but a Massey is known for it when the gears get a little worn. I remove the fill plug on my Massey and with a long screw driver of small bar, slide the shifter rails to the point where the shifter is back in place and I'm good to go. Trick is to shift positively and not just slide the shifter. Keith
