I grew up in a small SE IN town, the same town where Lonnie Mack (Mac?) of Memphis and Wham fame grew up.
In 1959 or 1960, I attended a church revival where a local man played guitar. I was a kid, knew nothing about music or guitar playing, and all I can remember about the event was that the guitar player played great music and his eyes looked "funny." He did not wear dark glasses and I did not know at the time that he was blind. His name was Ralph Trotto (SP?).
Years later, after Lonnie Mac recorded one or two #1 songs, I learned that he was from my home town, and that he had learned to play guitar from a local blind man, I figured it out.
Guess you could say that Ralph Trotto was Lonnie Mac's Clayton Delaney.
