My Branson 6530 purchased new in 2007 has yet to get sloppy from wear. To engage 4wd, I can do it under most any condition. To disengage, without forcing anything, I put the tractor in reverse, hand on the 4wd lever with moderate pressure, engine at idle, and pop the clutch......pops right out. One of these days it will wear in and I won't have to do that....but it's been 11 years and still waiting on it to wear in and get sloppy.
