The foot clutch pedal on my SMTA is loose on the shaft. I took it off with the intention of drilling it out and installing a bushing. However I discovered that most of the wear was on the shaft itself. Now I am also thinking about removing the shaft and have it welded and ground back to it's original dia. My question is can I simply pull out the clutch/brake pedal shaft from the housing? Does it simply go through the transmission housing with no internal connections? Would appriciate your thoughts on this problem. Also if there is a simpler fix I would appreciate hearing from you.
