Guy in the local town (of about 250) always had several dozen feral cats (I mean SEVERAL dozen) that were hanging around his place because he fed them. They were on the sidewalk, in the street, and becoming a nuisance. Every winter, he spends 3-4 weeks in Texas. A couple years ago, he came back from down south, and there were only about 6-7 cats left. Nobody knows what happened, but everyone is glad to have the pesky things gone. I don't need any more cats around the place - I have 4 now. If I see one on the farm, it comes down with lead poisoning.
