There is a family - the Smiths, that are quite wealthy. The parents are gone now but they made a lot of money in a bismuth mine. Now the son and daughter, Chris and Julia own the business. Every year they go to Panama for the Holidays. I got a card from them the other day. It was quite simple:
"Miss Smith and Chris Smith, thanks to bismuth, wish you a happy Christmas from the isthmus."
