Around here one of the best bets for old tractor pulling is the 66-77 series Olivers. Still a cheap tractor to buy and seem to be real good to run. The taller tires they run seem to pull better in stock classes than the shorter ones common to the fords. The small Fords are in so much demand for large yard mowing that they get pretty pricey. Farmall H's and M's are another inexpensive solid tractor for that purpose.
