My first tractor was a 1070. Bought it new and traded it off with 1800 hours because of several mechanical failures. I liked the tractor though. It was handy and had that legendary low end torque. I always wondered if I traded it off too soon.
Im surprised the 86 series IH’s wasn’t mentioned. Aren’t they supposed to have the backwards doors and flimsy TA and gear shift levers in the way of getting in the door and rough ride and gear grinding and shift levers on the wrong side and, and...? The author of the list must own an 86 series and likes it. By the way I have owned a 1086 since 1978 and every flaw I mentioned is true but I wouldn’t call those flaws bad enough to make it a bad tractor.
