John, don't let them discourage you. This is just a sign of the times. People listen to react, not to understand. If you feel passionate about anything that is good, go for it. When I was young I followed my dad around repairing machinery. My earliest memories were spent in a tractor dealership. As soon as I could I got my own job with a John Deere dealer. I was still in high school. I was very fortunate to work for a Mom & Pop store. They mentored me, and they treated me like family. I took service manuals home and read them in the evenings. I loved repairing the machines. I would never leave a farmer broke down. I would work after hours, nights and weekends, whatever it took. I felt it was my duty...and it was. I wanted to present a positive influence in our area. I wanted to represent their business in the best way. The others in the shop often mocked me. When they wanted off, they left. Be it hunting, or whatever it was they left. It didn't matter if a crop was in the fields, rain coming, etc. 45 years later I don't regret doing what I did because it was my duty. It is set upon us all to do something good for others. The Lord sometimes places things on our heart for a purpose. We may never really know what that purpose is at the time.

Today's Featured Article - Earthmaster Project Progress Just a little update on my Earthmaster......it's back from the dead! I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned.
