I am just a rookie here but there are several things you might look at repairing that are impossible to find. You probably want something that is in fairly good demand and nobody else has. I think you might look at steering gears for old JD's. They wear in the middle after all this time and even salvage yards don't have decent parts. THey need welded up and remachined. Small enough parts to mail around and popular enough that you could buy several from a salvage place, repair them and then sell these at shows or from magazine ads. I bet salvage yards would tell you what they wish they had for parts on hand.
