We should be moving towards using natural gas for everything but the biggest machines. It's very clean and abundant. Solar can't produce enough, windmills take up more natural resources to be made than the energy they will make in a lifetime. The battery problem is not only in their lack of storage but the pollution made from their manufacturing and disposal. Nobody is talking about disposal plans for them, it's a huge problem. Gas/diesel aren't going away anytime soon! The riots in France and starting in Germany are being caused by people getting fed up with being taxed to death trying to force them to use green energy. It will happen here too.
