Here in southern MN we had a couple snows, then a couple rains at 38 degrees, ground is froze solid, so the snows and heavy rains all puddled and pounded and turned to ice and the couple dips below zero turned into really deep and hard ice, with mostly bare ground all around.
Little odd, tho I’ve certainly seen it like this before.
