The biggest thing I see here is urban money coming in here and trying to dictate to everybody else. Land for recreation had been underpriced compared to other parts of the Northeast so that brought the well heeled retirees to Central and Western New York. Land quality can very greatly in a running mile here so there can be land that is not much good for anything other than horses or hunting next to a for profit farm business. The guy coming in from NYC, Boston, or Philly often thinks that he is the smartest guy in the township because he cashed out big from the city and set himself up as nobility out in the sticks.
