My dad has been gone for several years, but I still have dreams about being with him, along with others from my past. My life was under a lot of stress during the time he was ill, and up until just lately due to business. I am in process of selling part of my business, which is reducing my stress dramatically. I enjoyed having them in my dreams, but found that when I was stressed the dreams were too with a lot of arguing. Now that my life is more stable, I have had really enjoyable dreams with them in it.
Last night was interesting. My dad had collected some pedal tractor parts and an engine from a JD L. The L engine popped right off when I tried to start it, even after sitting for who knows how long. I know dreams do not make sense, but I was bound and determined that the engine was for a singer sowing machine, so I was going to restore one and put the engine on it. My dad was super calm and happy.
I know it is not real, but I enjoy being with him, even if in a dream.
