I got up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night last summer and as I got to the door the automatic light went on outside. I went to the window expecting to see a deer but instead there was mama bobcat and two bob kittens walking across my lawn about 15 feet from the window.
Also last summer I was out in the woods spraying Canada thistles, watching for the thistles and where I put my feet so I didn't trip, looked up to see how far from the field I was when I saw a black bear about 30 yards ahead. It hadn't noticed me so I spoke to it. It looked at me, surprised to see a person, then turned and ran as fast as it could.
