My very 1st tractor I purchased myself was a Oliver 60, I believe the one one pictured is a 70. For a short story, here it is.. I was 12 years old, a neighbor had this model 60 that My grand father once owned.. It sat in a barn with 4 flat tires, I bought it for 30.00 bucks.. As for todays lesson.. All I had for a tire pump was a bicycle tire pump. This tractor had 12x28 rear that had slow leaks. When I got this tractor pumped up enough to start & drive home I had the strongest arm / back muscles known to any 12 year old.... All the money I saved during the summer from helping people hay & cleaning box stalls, raking hay for the neighbors beside all the farm work I did on our own farm. I owned it for 2 years & sold it for 650.00 & picked up a John Deere Cyclone B for 500.00.. This was the start of my passion for tractors.
